RoHS compliant Ultra MSI joysticks from Aerco
Aerco now stocks three models in the popular range of multi-axis, Ultra MSI joysticks that are
fully RoHS compliant and can therefore be used in a far wider range of application areas.
The 501C and the 5000C are RoHS compliant joysticks that use Hall Effect technology to provide many benefits over traditional potentiometer and inductive joystick designs. They provide effective control in a small package with low power dissipation, excellent temperature stability and a lifetime of 20 million cycles. Most importantly, there is no degradation of performance throughout the operational life of these products. Ultra MSI was the first company to adapt Hall Effect technology for multi-axis joystick sensing and patented the design in 1998.
The 501C range provides two-axis, non-contacting, precision displacement, fingertip control with high performance and reliability at low cost and the 5000C, a mini displacement joystick offers more tactility than a mini-force joystick, converting operator input to analogue output voltages proportional to angle of the stick. A highly ergonomic knob provides tactile feedback to the operator, even when used with gloves.
Also RoHS compliant and stocked by Aerco is the conventionally designed 462 series, a compact, two-axis, force operated joystick that is, because of its small size and low weight, ideal for systems that require precise control where space is limited.
RoHS compliancy widens the scope of application areas for these joysticks that offer highly effective control for computer graphics cursor control, mapping systems, X-Y inspection tables, robotics, remote vehicle control, medical applications, security cameras, manned and unmanned flight control systems and all types of vehicle control from hoists and cranes to electric wheelchairs.
