TTI introduces new improved Minitek 2mm PCB connector system from FCI
TTI, the passive and connector specialist, is introducing FCI's new, improved Minitek, now 
their most complete 2mm PCB connection system ever. This 2.00mm PCB connection system is one of the fastest growing product lines in the industrial, instrumentation, medical, telecom and datacom segments which are realising the benefits of using smaller pitch systems.
Minitek is part of FCI's Basics+ program. Recent improvements made to the range include the inclusion of the lowest available profile eject latch header and the optional availability of Pin-in-Paste versions which eliminate costly secondary soldering operations. Carefully-controlled selective plating reduces cost while maintaining performance and co-planarity of surface mount parts is maintained at 0.1mm. Normal operating temperature has also been increased to 125°C.
TTI and FCI have built a long history of working together as business partners and developing new business. Comments John Sandy, European Director Supplier Marketing Connectors, TTI: "One major advantage for our customers is that the Minitek system is fully intermateable. Even the new active latch wire housing is unique in that it is not part of a separate system, but mates with the standard headers. This means that we can support our customers on all types of 2.00mm board-to-board and wire-to-board interconnect solutions. Whatever they need, we have."
Paul Isaac, program manager at FCI adds: "We are very proud of our new Minitek range. Over the last 12 months we really upgraded it, adding new parts and improving existing ones until we now have a board-to-board, wire-to-board and cable-to-board interconnection system that is fully adaptable and yet can also meet the most demanding requirements of our customers."
